Fort Bragg has three water sources:

  1. Noyo River
  2. Newman Reservoir on small tributary of Noyo
  3. Waterfall Gulch, tributary of Hare Creek

Water shortages in the past occurred low river flows coincide at the end of summer, early fall. Conservation program over the last ten years has provided indirectly 150 million gallons a year.

State has recently indicated that Fort Bragg can draw a greater amount of water from the Noyo at high tides. Previously we had to base our draw on the amount of Noyo water bypass.

Fort Bragg uses 250 - 275 million gallons of water a year
